Founding Team
Established 2022
Meet the visionary minds who took the initiative to lay the foundation of Mind Matters.
Our Genesis
Mind Matters was founded in 2022 by Ishanee Sengupta, Aaheli Das, Sampurna Bhattacharya, and Akanksha Gupta. Three of the founders were from Class 12H, while Akanksha Gupta was from Class 12I.
The founders felt the need for a student organization where students could talk about mental health and psychology and have a safe space for Heritans. They discussed the idea with Sukanya Ma'am, the Psychology teacher, who appreciated and supported the initiative.
The founders then wrote a proposal and presented it to the Principal for approval. Following the approval, Mind Matters was officially established with the aim of encouraging conversations about mental health and psychology and creating a supportive environment for students within the school community.
